Estée Lauder UK & Ireland has launched a new app supporting visually impaired users to more easily and confidently apply makeup. The "Voice-Enabled Makeup Assistant (VMA)" uses a so-called Smart Mirror technology. Based on artificial intelligence and augmented reality, the app recognizes the area where a product has been applied and evaluates the uniformity of application. Voice instructions give users audio feedback on whether their lipstick, eyeshadow or foundation is evenly applied and where touch ups may be needed.
